　　《再別康橋》是現(xiàn)代詩(shī)人徐志摩膾炙人口的詩(shī)篇，是新月派詩(shī)歌的代表作品。

　　Very quietly I take my leave

　　As quietly as I came here;

　　Quietly I wave good-bye

　　To the rosy clouds in the western sky.

　　The golden willows by the riverside

　　Are young brides in the setting sun;

　　The floatingheart growing in the sludge

　　Sways leisurely under the water;

　　In the gentle waves of Cambridge

　　That pool under the shade of elm trees

　　Holds not water but the rainbow from the sky;

　　Shattered to pieces among the duckweeds

　　Is the sediment of a rainbow-like dream?

　　那榆蔭下的一潭，

　　不是清泉,是天上虹,

　　揉碎在浮藻間，

　　To seek a dream? Just to pole a boat upstream

　　To where the green grass is more verdant;

　　Or to have the boat fully loaded with starlight

　　And sing aloud in the splendour of starlight.

　　再別康橋作者徐志摩介紹

　　Xu Zhimo(1897~1931) was a twentieth-century Chinese poet. He was given the name of Zhangyou and the courtesy name of Youshen. He later changed his courtesy name to Zhimo.

　　徐志摩(1897~1931)，名章垿，字又申，后改字為志摩。中國(guó)20世紀(jì)詩(shī)人。

　　He is romanticized as pursuing love, freedom and beauty in all his life (from the words of Hu Shih).

　　徐志摩是一個(gè)浪漫化的人物，終生都在追求愛(ài)情、自由和美(據(jù)胡適言)。

　　He promoted the form of modern Chinese poetry, and therefore made tremendous contributions to modern Chinese literature.

　　徐志摩促進(jìn)了新詩(shī)的發(fā)展，為現(xiàn)代中國(guó)文學(xué)做出了巨大貢獻(xiàn)。

　　Xu Zhimo was born in Xiashi, in Zhejiang Province, and died in Ji"nan in Shandong Province.

　　徐志摩出生在浙江硤石，在山東濟(jì)南去世。

　　In 1918, after studying at Peking University, he traveled to the United States to study Economics and Political Science at Columbia University in New York City.

　　1918年，在北京大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)之后，徐志摩去美國(guó)紐約的哥倫比亞大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)和政治學(xué)。

　　Finding the States "intolerable", he left in 1920 to study at Cambridge University in England where he fell in love with English romantic poetry like that of Keats and Shelley.

　　后來(lái)徐志摩發(fā)現(xiàn)美國(guó)讓人“無(wú)法忍受”，于1920年離開(kāi)美國(guó)到英國(guó)劍橋大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)。徐志摩在英國(guó)愛(ài)上了像濟(jì)慈和雪萊的作品那樣的浪漫主義詩(shī)歌。

　　In 1922 he went back to China and became a leader of the modern poetry movement.

　　1922年，徐志摩回國(guó)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)了新詩(shī)運(yùn)動(dòng)。

　　When the Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore visited China, he played the part of oral interpreter.

　　His literary ideology was mostly prowestern, and pro-vernacular.

　　徐志摩的文學(xué)思想主要是贊成西方文學(xué)觀點(diǎn)，贊成使用白話。

　　He was one of the first Chinese writers to successfully naturalize Western romantic forms into modern Chinese poetry.

　　徐志摩是最先成功地將西方浪漫主義文學(xué)形式移植到中國(guó)現(xiàn)代詩(shī)歌里的中國(guó)作家之一。

　　He worked as an editor and professor at several schools before dying in a plane crash on November 19, 1931 in Ji"nan, Shandong while flying from Nanjing to Beijing.

　　徐志摩去世前擔(dān)任編輯和多家大學(xué)的教授。1931年11月19日，徐志摩在從南京飛往北京的途中，在山東濟(jì)南因飛機(jī)失事身亡。

　　He left behind four collections of verse and several volumes of translations from various languages.
